With over 15 years of experience and over 6000 participants, Crossover knows how to facilitate a life-changing encounter between God and a student or adult in the context of cross-cultural ministry! Our passion is that as many people as possible would experience God’s love for them and the people they have come to serve. We have seen hundreds of people experience amazement and joy as they discover for the first time that God can use them beyond their communities and comfort! And we have seen our cross-cultural friends experience the love of God from strangers to their borders. It is worth the extra effort to us; is it worth it to you?
Our Philosophy
Crossover’s focus is to provide a meaningful ministry of evangelism, teaching, and physical service in every trip. A short-term mission trip to us is not a tour trip or a camp; it is meant to expose people to real ministry in a real environment that demands reliance upon God and a personal commitment to grow spiritually. Our desire is to work with God in the growth and development of His people, seeking to understand when He wants to challenge and when He wants to comfort. Our trained on-site staff is prepared and flexible to either lead the ministry, or facilitate and support your own church’s leadership. All participants must be in agreement with our doctrinal statement and beliefs so that we are unified on the mission field.
What We Provide
Our experience enables us to eliminate potential, avoidable distractions such as arising from travel or logistics needs. You arrive at the site with our staff prepared for you and with local Christians ready to partner with you in ministry, eliminating many site-specific surprises (though flexibility is
always a requirement for missionary service!). We offer materials and Bible studies to help prepare your people for the experience. We provide trained staff to serve as liaisons to assist and serve your own leadership. And we do all this with an eye to cost. Your cost provides housing, food, cooks, construction and ministry materials, on-site transportation, host gifts, insurance, T-shirts, devotionals, application forms, training guides, evangelism training books, and all ministry arrangements. We provide the level of support you desire to fit your experience and needs. If you are interested in one of our locations, read more about the ministry and then contact us to begin facilitating
a life-changing experience!
As
short-term mission practitioners we strive to appropriately express
God’s redemptive mission throughout his world (missio Dei), and to
glorify him — the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — in everything
we do. We acknowledge that many people are affected by our
involvement in short-term mission — some positively, some
negatively, some whom we may never meet. We further acknowledge that
short-term mission participants include not merely those who go, but
those who send (3 John 5-8) and those who receive (Matt. 10:40-42).
We also acknowledge that short-term mission is not an isolated event
— but rather an integrated process over time affecting all
participants. This process consists of pre-field, on-field, and
post-field stages. We desire to pursue excellence and to strengthen
our overall effectiveness worldwide. We do so not in a legalistic or
rigid manner, but in a redemptive manner by voluntarily adopting and
committing ourselves to the Standards of Excellence in our
short-term mission efforts.
